The Bedrock of Faith

Faith is not an “add-on” to life. Faith is like a rock that we need to build our lives upon. Here are some thoughts on the subject quoted directly from Matthew 7: 14-29 (the Message)

“Don’t look for shortcuts to God…formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time…The way to life - to God! - is vigorous and requires total attention…The words I speak to you are not additions to your life, home owner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundational words to build your life on.”

We need to honestly ask ourselves is our faith a convenient “add-on” in life, or is our life being added onto the rock of faith?
